PURPOSE:
The Batch Operator has a wide range of duties which to maintain batching facilities, production levels, minor equipment repairs, report mechanical failures, and assist the Dispatcher as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Efficiently operates batching facilities and maintains maximum production levels
Operates computer controlled batching system that transfers product from storage bins through weigh bins and into ready-mix trucks
Record daily delivery statistics and daily maintenance activities
Reads and interpret computer orders to control mix design and to set appropriate slump
Uses computer to weigh product being transferred to each truck
Visually monitors control boards and computer screens
Visually inspect loading trucks to assure proper positioning for delivery of product
Prints tickets on computer and separated accordingly to keep accurate records
Visually inspect concrete on as needed basis
Files a copy of each ticket
Records all daily record keeping and paperwork as required
Maintains material inventories
Diagnose and assists in troubleshooting when process is interrupted
Demonstrates good understanding of lockout/tagout procedure required during certain procedures
Assists in training of co-workers as needed
Assigns and maintains raw material delivery tickets
Supply customers with accurate product and delivery information
Assist Dispatcher in balancing driver hours to assure equity and compliance with D.O.T. requirements as needed
Maintain an excellent personal safety record and a clean/safe work environment
Performs other duties as required

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, loading and ensuring sites are kept clean and equipment is safely turned off and stored. In addition, this position will assist with the distribution of concrete and complete relevant paperwork and reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Transport aggregate and other materials at the plant site
Maintain cleanliness of plant site
Coordinate with plant operator to maintain proper levels of aggregates and other materials.
Push up and rotate stockpiles daily for moisture consistency.
Notify Plant Manager of equipment maintenance needs.
Perform regular safety checks on equipment.
Ensure equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off or loading.
Promptly report all faults to the Plant Manager.
Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
Perform other construction duties as needed or task requested by management.

PURPOSE:
The QC Tech will be responsible to ensure that concrete products produced meet American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), local industry, customer, and company specifications as instructed by QC Manager and Plant Manager.
This position will assist with ensuring quality control, documentation and reporting information, maintaining lab standards, monitor stockpile, inspect equipment and structures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site.
Adhere to established testing methods, including ASTM, American Concrete Institute (ACI), and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results.
Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly documented.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab.
Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites.
Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.
Conduct routine inspections of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.
Participates in pre-construction and employee communication meetings to ensure appropriate standards and work performance.
Actively participates with job to ensure quality, delivery, and placement.
Promptly and effectively document and address customer concerns and complaints.
Writes reports, maintain records, and deliver to appropriate stakeholder job site issues, driver performance, and product problems.
Attends training to maintain knowledge, gain new knowledge regarding technical updates and industry standards.
Collaboratively works with sales on business concerns and issues.

PURPOSE:
Drives a transit mixer to deliver concrete mix and other related construction products to job sites in a safe manner while adhering to schedules. In addition, this position will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled, such as slump on concrete.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Daily perform a pre and post-trip safety check (walk around inspection) on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required
Fill fuel and water tanks. Record fuel and milage
Back or drive truck under loading hopper, prepare mixer to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer. Follow established guidelines and instructions
Drives truck to designated job site for unloading. Deliver and unload concrete support products as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at the job site, in traffic, and throughout plant areas. Communicate information by use of the radio.
Assembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truck. Controls appropriate levers on truck to discharge concrete according to specifications from the contractor into a conveying device or directly into forms.
Clean truck after unloading and prepare truck for return to plant.
Replace chutes on truck and make certain everything is secure and safe for travel.
Maintain functionality and appearance of truck and equipment using truck cleaning compounds and wearing PPE according to company policy
Refer customer complaints, equipment problems, job site concerns, traffic problems and product concerns to supervisor.
Record information as directed on shipping tickets, equipment logs, timecards and other assigned records
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout)
Must be able to work flexible schedule with varying start and stop times
Must have Texas Commercial Class A or B Driver’s
No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
No serious moving violations within the past 36 months
May be exposed to extremes of hot and/or cold weather conditions
Overtime work, weekends and nights, may be required
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, and at times longer
Flexible work schedules, must be able working Monday through Sunday
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Two years of experience Ready Mixer Truck
CDL required
Previous knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful

PURPOSE:
Plant Operator/Welder position is responsible for preventative maintenance, repair of aggregate plant processing equipment, fabrication and installation of guarding and operation of aggregate processing plant. You may perform various roles, including fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping and various other shop or processing duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Prioritizes Safety, then Quality, followed by Production.
• Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.
• Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
• Conducts MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis.
• Performs fabrication, erection of processing equipment and repair to processing equipment.
• Completes required paperwork to maintain equipment and to run the plant according to BTC standards.
• Duties may include checking, repairing or replacing pumps.
• Inspects and ensures maintenance truck is being maintained properly.
• Ensures Preventative Maintenance services, lubrications services are completed according to Maintenance Module.
• Trains and coaches’ other employees on maintenance practices.
• Responsible for operation of aggregate plant during late afternoon and into evening hours.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required
• Must have working knowledge of heavy equipment, welding, cutting, and general mechanics

PURPOSE:
This position will work under the direction of the Director of QC and is accountable for the daily functional aspects of quality control and quality assurance, inspection, testing services, studying, and resolving technical issues, management of related issues, and the communication of quality related matters with respect to testing of production materials, to ensure compliance for ready mix plant facilities. The Quality Control Specialist will assist BTC and the Director of QC in elevating the customer’s perception and general quality of our mix designs, achieving the elimination of lost loads, and the generation of backup data necessary for mix optimization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Implements all processes and procedures of Quality Control Program as directed by the Director of QC to maintain compliance with ACI and ASTM processes and procedures.
• Utilize specialized software to collect, review and analyze materials, mix designs and performance.
• Manage maintenance ACI Certifications for the division.
• Partners with BTC Leadership and Director of QC to plan, implement, upgrade, the processes and procedures in quality assurance and control.
• Review plans and specifications with sales team to determine the best products for the project.
• Partners with Director of QC to oversee the submittal and qualification process and address any specific project requirements.
• Compiles customer project submittal packages and reviews with Director of QC for approval.
• Analyzes accuracy of plant batching and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Performs plant audits to ensure plants comply with technical policies and company processes and procedures.
• Investigates customer complaints thoroughly and provides data and documentation to BTC leadership to determine appropriate responses.
• Visit job sites to respond to quality control issues and to ensure that technical services, standards, and procedures are being followed.
• Look for root causes of problems and utilities problems as a means of educating field team members about the principles of quality production.
